Mission San Miguel – The murals, or painted walls, were designed by Esteban Munras and date from 1820. They were painted by local Indians with paints created from natural materials. The murals are unique and original, like nothing found in the other California missions, and therefore of great value and historical importance. Here is photo two of four interior shots. —>
